The end of the financial year is here in Australia and now is as good as any to look at our progress, triggers and really get honest about what we have been doing over the past six months. Have you been able to meet your New Year Resolutions, or were these put to the side at some stage? Have you achieved some, gone on detours, up hill and down dale to arrive where you are now?
As with all significant dates or anniversaries they are a perfect opportunity to reflect, assess, regroup and refocus again. This is the same cycle that we use in learning, GPS navigation, life!
Being at the end of the Financial Year, I thought I would remind/ bring your attention to how money is a fantastic monitor for your inner world. I know, it seems crazy to consider Money in this way, but hear me out.
Money is only another physical representation of our inner world -
thoughts, expectations, beliefs etc.
When we are asked to review our financial position, do our taxes etc, it is a brilliant tool to look at our selves and consider what is going on inside and why we spend money the way we do and on what we spend money on.
The other premise I learnt in Money Bootcamp by Denise Duffield-Thomas which is really cool and helps to also reflect on your relationship is to see money as your partner, lover, friend and see how you treat each other. If you imagine money (energy) as being a person, what is your current relationship, and how would you really like it to be?
I ask you then, to consider the following questions and see what comes up for you. elves.
If you are triggered, then now is a great time to make decisions about your future, but also your inner world, choosing to money management with conscious choice and not so much from old, belief patterns that may or may not be supporting you.
Slave energy is a heavy on, and I encourage you to explore this one a lot deeper and see when, here, and who gave this one to you?
Now that you have reflected a little, where are their gaps, between what you would like your choices, actions and feelings around money and what it has been? the focus is on the energy and meaning given to the transactions you have made over the last six months.
See where money has really looked after you. this could be when it brought you food, medicine, entertainment, paid for your transport, home, comforts, and pleasure. When you were able to share it with others for the betterment of their life experiences. Where have you been looking after it, with care so as not to overstretch its capacity and get upset when "There wasn't enough to go around?"
On the flip side, if you have a been taking advantage of money, and its privileges it brings you, have you been inadvertently abusing it, and therefore being an extension of yourself abusing or punishing yourself and keeping your self trapped in old patterns?
Naturally, money is only a symbol of how you treat and what you expect of yourself. The same can apply to your health. Ask yourself similar questions to the above and where there is money, swap to the word health and see how you might be sabotaging your biggest asset and not even realising it.
Fortunately, Energy is recycled and can be generated, our body, money, self-esteem etc all can be changed in a blink of an eye. A big part of the secret is to get real, heal and create decision statements closer to our values and what is important to ours.
