Real change comes from the depths

Change, what is it, and how do we create it?

By definition, change to make the form, nature, content, future course, etc., of (something) different from what it is or from what it would be if left alone (https://www.dictionary.com/browse/change)

All of us, constantly create change.  We get up and change from being asleep, laying down etc.  We create change when we do anything.  Habits create familiar, predictable changes in our state and routine to match what we have agreed to experience in our life.  The routine, the known, familiar, expected actions that make up life.

I want to challenge you though.....

Are you changing the things that actually matter?

Yes, it is essential to go through the motions of living, caring for the body and making a living, but the change I am talking about here is the change in thoughts, intent and then action to step into things that create deeper, meaningful relationships, fulfillment and as someone recently said "Heaven on Earth"!

Seems a bit too far fetched to be that content and experience bliss? Let me walk you through a few things.
  1. Take a few really deep breaths and feel into your heart space.  Practice mindfulness.
  2. Centre yourself, with either a color, or a favorite, positive memory.  Allow yourself to reconnect to that state.
  3. Increase the feelings, through your entire body and max it out.
You have just created a bit of heaven on earth.  A powerfully positive experience.

Let's do another exercise.
  1. Give yourself permission to watch nature for a few minutes and focus fully on this. A flower, animals, sunset, or even the clouds drifting by.
  2. Again, just take the deep breathes in, and allow yourself to feel the expansiveness of this.
  3. Give gratitude for seeing, feeling, hearing the wonder of nature's pure miracle.
  4. Feel into the feeling, the lightness, the peace and contentedness of this.
What you focus on is what you dial up or increase.

Now, you have the opportunity to create real change - moving away from habits into create more of what you really want, but, first one needs to know what one wants. Ask these questions:
  1. What are the feelings you want to feel? Feelings give off the energy to attract more of the same like magnets.
  2. Imagine what the feeling could look like - what are you doing while feeling this feeling? Who is there with you, if anyone?  Where are you and how are you doing?  It is ok if you are not a visual person and 'see' these things, you might have a notion or sense of knowing what the experience is.
  3. What actions, habits and beliefs need changing to bring this feeling and dream into reality?
  4. Complete the forgiveness exercise, EFT or even speak with your inner child to give your younger self advice, encouragement and praise for doing all the amazing things they have already done. (Lived this long might be the most powerful reminder; You have a home, car, friends etc, show the younger you these things)
  5. Record any lessons, change recommendations and most of the feelings experienced.
Yes, you may bring up some of the heavy and painful ones, this is ok too. Cry them out, tap them out, talk them out, and most certainly reach out and ask for help.
Habits are powerful forces and many are running on auto-pilot.  If yours are getting in the  way, then now, more than ever is the time to ask for help to untangle them.
