explore ways of thinking and feeling.

How wrong or damaged, are we really?

This is was purposefully written to make you think and become a more level headed. We are not more dysfunctional as we think we are, and to help create more self compassion, and more for others too. We are all working towards living and creating more of we want - love and sharing of this!!
Let's put this into perspective.
  • All of us are doing the best we can, with the resources we have at the time, and our challenges in the instant.
  • From a generational learning point, our parents didn't have it 'right', their parents didn't have it 'right' so we can not expect ourselves to have it right when we haven't yet learnt how to do different or better?
  • If we are in situations and unaware that there could be other ways of thinking and feeling and living, then how can we create anything different?
  • If we are scared of new possibilities, because the ideas are foreign, or we don't think it is for us, or we are not worthy of doing or having different.
  • Our society and culture has projected that we are meant to have it all together. We are meant to know exactly what, how and when to say, do and be in the instant. Not get it wrong, not to say things out of place, to consider others more than ourselves when we are struggling in the moment to keep ourselves together and ok.
How different could our lives and loves be if we had more self compassion, compassion for others.
  • If we forgave ourselves for not having it all together like apparently we should!
  • If we gave ourselves space and time, and then others too, to learn, grow, practice and encourage even the baby steps of growth and not expecting us all to be leaping ahead in massive growth spurts.
  • If we learnt about and healed our own wounds, coming back to love so that we can live from this space. Love for ourselves, so we have a more open heart to love, give support, compassion, encouragement and above all see beyond the painful masks others wear to protect themselves from more hurt.
Life is a journey, a process of experiencing, healing, letting go, calling in more and more love and Divinity. There are detours, mountains, valleys, roundabouts, and opportunities.
New experiences that ask of us to learn new skills, and let go of the heavy baggage so we can travel easier, lighter, or more so when we are treading water, that we don't drown under the weight of the past.
It is possible. It starts with a thought, the enquiry, the learning, the healing, letting go and transforming one's self into the character we choose to become. Hopefully, more Love, Grace, Humility, etc.
